Art Classes, Music Classes, Dance Classes, Cyber Café & Non- Water Based Theme Parks Allowed to Open

GEORGE TOWN – Art classes, music classes, Dance Classes cybercafés and theme parks without water based are now allowed to open according to the SOP set by National Security Council (MKN), said Penang State EXCO for Tourism, Arts, Culture and Heritage (PETACH) YB Yeoh Soon Hin.

Yeoh said that the above stated sectors are now allowed to open as long as complying to SOPs set by National Security Council and local authorities such as social distancing, wearing mask, the use of hand sanitizer crowd control and etc. The operators are also required to clean and sanitise their premises before re-operating.

Yeoh said he raised this matter during EXCO meeting and PETACH wrote in to National Security Council for confirmation. Non- Water Base Theme Park including Escape and The Top can now be open with the exception of their water-based attractions”

However, public swimming pools including in condominiums are still restricted at this moment. Meanwhile, for club houses, the operators will need to justify the kind of activities planned for the premises.”

He said, mass-gathering or any kind of activities which are difficult to practice social distancing are restricted by National Security Council.
